Children's Ministry
Living Word Church has a dynamic ministry for children with Sunday School,
Children's church Royal Rangers for boys on Wednesday nights
Sunday School begins at 9:30 every Sunday in the Family Life Center. Children
re-join their parents for the praise and worship portion of the Sunday morning
Service before going back to the Family Life Center for Children's Church.
On Wednesday nights the boys go to "Royal Ranger's. The Royal Rangers is a national ministry that reaches across the
United States and in over 80 nations around the world. The programs motivate boys
spiritually through Bible study and memorization, devotionals, and Christian
role models. They are strengthened mentally by an advanced awards-based weekly
program. Further, the boys increase their physical prowess by participation
in age-specific activities and recreation.
While the Boys go to "Royal Ranger's on Wednesday's the girls meet with Ms Wendy and Ms Heather for "Girls of Grace". "Girls of Grace is the girls answer to "Royal Rangers" and it provides girls with bible study, fellowship and mentoring from Christian role models.
Wendy Childers is the Director of Children and Special Ministries at
Living Word Church. She is a graduate of Lee University with a BS in
Christian Education with minors in Music and Bible. Wendy loves working
with children and desires to see them reach their full potential in Christ.
